PROJECT NAAD'S RACIST RANT

By Abu Adeeba

There is no superiority of an Arab over a non-Arab, or a non-Arab over an Arab, or a white man over a black man, or a black man over a white man, except in terms of piety. The people come from Adam and Adam came from dust.

- Prophet Muhammad's Final Sermon [1]

Racism is a terrible mental disease. It stems from a backward and primitive mindset that should be condemned vociferously by all and sundry.
Islam uprooted racism, tribalism and nationalism in no uncertain terms with proclamations and prohibitions similar to the quote above.
Our Creator has informed His servants of the following universality:

O humankind! We have created you from a male and female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may come to know one another. Truly, the most honourable of you with Allaah is that (believer) who has At-Taqwa [correct God consciousness]. Truly, Allaah is Omniscient, All-Aware. (Qur'an 49:13)

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

Whosoever leaves off obedience and separates from the jamaa'ah (united body) and dies; then he dies the death of jaahiliyyah (the Arabs pre-Islamic period of ignorance, tribalism and racism).  Whoever fights under the banner of the blind, becoming angry for 'asabiyyah (partisanship and party spirit), or calling to 'asabiyyah, or assisting 'asabiyyah, and dies; he dies the death of jaahiliyyah. [2]

Likewise he (peace be upon him) articulated:

Indeed Allaah has revealed to me that you should have humility, and that no one should act proudly and oppressively over anyone else, nor should anyone boast over anyone else. [3]

A man came to Bilal ibn Ribah - originally from Ethiopia and a leading companion of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) - and called him "the son of a black woman". He reported the racist remark to his Prophet. The Messenger of Allaah (peace be upon him) ordered that the man be brought to him and instructed him:

"You make fun of this man because of his mother (referring to Bilal and that his mothers' skin colour)?" He continued: "Truly you are a man who has some ignorance in you." [4]

The Messenger of Allaah (peace be upon him) was even more emphatic when he reportedly said:

Whoever calls to the affairs of jaahiliyyah, tell him to bite on the head of his fathers' genitalia [an idiomatic expression of that time which denoted extreme dislike and repugnance towards something abhorred] and not to sugar coat it (meaning: not to sugar coat what was to passed on to the intended person in this regard). [5]

Similarly, he (peace be upon him) was upset by an incident that occurred when a young man from the Muhaajiroon [6] and a young man from the Ansaar [7] quarrelled.  So the Muhaajir called out: "O Muhaajiroon (meaning: rally to my help)!" While the Ansaari called out: "O Ansaar!" When the Prophet (peace be upon him) heard this, he said:

Is it with the call of jaahiliyyah that you are calling out to whilst I am still present amongst you? [8]

This is how strictly Islam has guarded against prejudice arising from racism, culturalism, classism, nationalism, etc. It cut off all avenues to this diabolical way of thinking over 1400 years ago.

Sikhs, of course, maintain that their religion too has prohibited all of the above.
In this regard, Project Naad (with Paradeep Bhatia as a member) boasts on its website that:

The Project Naad team is an international one, with people from many different cultures, races, castes, classes and religions...

And whose:

... mission is to raise the consciousness of human beings through the art and science of Sikh Dharma and personal development tools.
Project Naad aims to achieve its mission through:
Sharing the eternal message of Sikh philosophy of serving others, acceptance of all and meditation as contained in the Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji... To encourage people to become the leaders of tomorrow, to put knowledge into action, and help in creating world peace through self peace.

And that:

The Word of the Guru (Gurbani) tunes our mind and opens our hearts to the infinity of our soul. Then nothing is impossible because infinity has no limits, and our hearts begin to shine with unconditional love. This love fulfills every aspect of our being and serves everyone unconditionally.

Noble words they would be except for that fact that Project Naad has been caught spewing racism on the net.
The following sorry debacle from what this team espouses to was brought to our attention and we feel we are obliged to share this racist mindset with everyone else.
We have provided both the link, and also a screenshot of this disgusting behaviour per chance Project Naad attempt to delete the incriminating evidence (CLICK SCREENSHOT FOR HI-RES IMAGE; RACIST REMARK HIGHLIGHTED IN YELLOW):

In light of this racist attitude, one wonders how Project Naad views Pakistanis per se?
Is this their idea of Sikh Dharma, raising conscious awareness and the acceptance of all?
Is this how their heart begins to shine with unconditional love in order to serve everyone unconditionally by calling people "Paki"?

For shame!
